This year's EBME conference saw a great deal of interest in the work of the Trust and we were able to sign up around 30 new potential volunteers over the course of the two days.
Many thanks to John Sandham and his team giving Martin the opportunity to address the conference about our work, and thanks also to Hilditch Group for hosting us on their stand. It proved to be a very fruitful couple of days!
Now is the time to test those fruits! We are sending quite a few volunteers over this Summer and Autumn, to both of our projects in Uganda and also to Zambia, and although we have volunteers already lined up for FINS Medical University in Fort Portal, and for Evelyn Hone College in Lusaka, we are looking for two volunteers to go out to Kyambogo University in Kampala and run practical sessions in repair and maintenance for two of the modules: Cardio-vascular & Patient Monitoring, and Electrical Safety Testing & Management of Medical Devices. If anyone is interested in either of these two week modules, which will take place in October/November of this year, then please contact us as soon as possible at info@amaltheatrust.org.uk
Thanks for reading this, and for your interest in our work.
