aboutus
We are a small UK based charity focussed on building the capacity of Biomedical Engineering in Low Resource settings, and at present specifically English-speaking Sub-Saharan Africa.
UK Registered Charity No. 1118695
-
Founded by Mike and Nicky Hilditch in 2009 the Trust is run from a virtual office with very low core costs making it a very lean and cost-effective organisation.
-
our focus is almost entirely on training and the exchange of expertise and practical experience from our ever-growing body of NHS BME volunteers, who are the real core of the organisation.
-
We only work through reputable and accredited institutions in the receiving countries, and only on their invitation. We don't initiate any programs ourselves, but respond to needs that are addressed directly to us.
-
We are governed by a Board of Trustees (see below) based in Malmesbury, Wiltshire, UK.
